In-School Counseling

LCFS has been providing counseling within a school setting for over 35 years. In school counseling is proven to be one of the most effective ways to reach children who are struggling with emotional, behavioral or mental health concerns.

Working in collaboration with schools, LCFS counselors will assess, diagnose and treat children referred into the program. Being embedded within a school, our counselors can advocate for individual students, help teachers with classroom dynamics and provide convenience and peace of mind for parents. They also provide sessions to educate and train staff to identify early signs of behavioral, emotional or mental health issues or trauma – related concerns.

Counseling sessions are conveniently and discreetly woven into a child’s school day.
