Opportunities to Give Back and Serve Our Communities

Much of the financial support for Lutheran Counseling & Family Services is generated by our Thrift Stores located throughout Wisconsin. These stores generate approximately 35% of LCFS’s annual income with proceeds helping to subsidize mental health counseling, alcohol or drug addiction treatment, or adoption services to individuals and families who do not have any other means to pay for these services. Our thrift stores offer big bargains on gently used and gently loved items such as clothing, kitchenware, linens toys and books. The affordable prices help families throughout the community to purchase items otherwise beyond reach.

Our Thrift Stores are run solely by volunteers from the local community. These volunteers accept and sort donations, clean and repair when necessary, price items and manage the sales floor. Your support is welcome through donations of sellable items or as time spent as a volunteer! Donations are accepted during store hours and volunteer time can be flexible, suited to your interests, and rewarding! For more information, please contact the store nearest you and ask for the Store Manager.
